Sea/BI-SR 305 Traffic Revisions Approaching Bainbridge Terminal on June 11

Plan extra travel time on southbound State Route 305 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 11. Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews will reduce the road to one lane approaching the Bainbridge terminal to complete traffic revisions.

Work includes installing new pavement markings, signs, and traffic signal displays at the Winslow Way and Harborview Drive intersections. When complete, the revisions will create a dedicated right lane for vehicle ferry traffic from north of Winslow Way to the terminal entrance.

Muk/Clin - The 90-Vehicle Sealth Replaced the 124-Vehicle Kitsap

On Tuesday, May 28, the 90-vehicle Sealth replaced the 124-vehicle Kitsap on the Mukilteo/Clinton route for approximately the next four weeks due to limited vessel availability.

This is a 34-car reduction in vessel capacity.  Customers may experience vessel loading delays.  We would ask our customers to be mindful of joining the queue at the end of the line.  We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we work to maintain our fleet.

Sea/BI - Two-Day Overhead Walkway Closure at Bainbridge Terminal, June 12-13

The overhead walkway at our Bainbridge terminal will be closed for two days next week. All ferry passengers will need to load and unload via the car deck on Wednesday and Thursday, June 12-13. During the closure, plan for possible boarding and offloading delays as crews replace the moveable section that raises and lowers to link up with the vessel. The pedestrian route alongside the holding lanes between the terminal building and the ferry will be clearly marked. This work is part of our new Bainbridge overhead walkway project, which is now entering its final stages.

Southworth Terminal Construction to Reduce Space on Dock Began May 20

Two of the four lanes on the dock at our Southworth terminal are closed for approximately three weeks beginning Monday, May 20. Crews are replacing the wooden decking of the walkway running along the south side of the pier. Plan for possible delays on our Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth route and oversized Vashon-bound vehicles that require the completion of a travel request form will not be able to travel out of Southworth. Customers are encouraged to arrive early and – for those who can – take alternate routes. The walkway decking is badly in need of repair, and we must do this work now so it’s complete ahead of the busy summer travel season.
